Shannon Joy Rodgers is a performer and Emmy Award Winning writer who has written for Jimmy Kimmel and won an Emmy while writing for The Ellen DeGeneres Show. On Ellen, she created a recurring sketch segment where she would rap quirky news stories called Shannon on the Beat.
Recently, she's put out a comedy music album under the alter-ego NJOY. While the NJOY One album is mainly rap, it also dabbles in the musical genres of R&B and country. Think of NJOY as a musical lovechild of a comedy sketch and a clever hook.
Shannon also performs at UCB and has been featured on Conan, Modern Family, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Jeselnik Offensive, Review, College Humor, Funny or Die, Birthday Boys and Adam Ruins Everything.
Originally from Austin, TX was also a Professional Rollerblader and her skating can be seen on Fuel TV, Fox Sports Net, as well has various national and international video series and magazines. Shannon's sketch comedy and Skating can be seen on College Humor, Funny or Die and YouTube.
